During the Kerala Flood in 2018, we had started a local drive to collect funds to help the flood affected people and we got a great response from the people. We had collected about 3 Lacs rupees along with groceries, utensils, cloths, bed sheets, tarpaulins, emergency lights and many other required things.

Here are some pictures of flood-affected people, they were forced to leave their home and everything needed to survive with their families. Their houses were 60% in water. Housing was arranged for the victims and Roshan Safar provided them with cooked food and other necessary things.

Government help is always delayed and meanwhile they have nothing to help with survival. The people in need were supported until the water cleared and after it help was provided to settle them again with the help of local people and NGOs.

We also serve cooked food for the very poor and hungry people. Often we offer free meal to school students at Palghar, where almost all students are coming from underprivileged families
We also started to provide daily cooked food for the people below poverty level and living homeless in the Ahmedabad
city.
We delivered cooked food directly in the hand of a needy as and when required. Our hard working volunteer Mr. Mohammedbhai Tinwala with his team found out such people and helped them
time by time.

Educational Assistance
Education for all is one of the biggest things that Roshan Safar stands for. Being educated is a privilege that everyone should have access too and not just to those with money. Roshan Safar has spent a lot of time and effort raising money for kids to have access to knowledge. In 2017 a book bank was held to collect books to give to kids who are too poor to buy books. We distributed the stationery kit to around 250 students from primary level students to 7th grade students. The stationary kits included a 200 paged notebook, 100 paged notebook, and a pencil, pen, a ruler and eraser. These kits went to children who are really from very poor families. Many students had tattered uniforms & shoes. The classrooms were very small and crowded, and there was no playground for students as well.
